RACHAEL'S TOP TIPS FOR BOOSTING YOUR IMMUNITY 

I’ve put together my top tips and tricks to staying healthy and boosting your immune system.

PLANTS

Ramping up the fruit & veg intake for sure, which means a lot more colour & variety. Ingredients that are especially good at boosting immunity include berries (especially blueberries), citrus fruits, broccoli, spinach, mushrooms, garlic, onion, ginger, oregano, brussels. The more plants the better. I've been making smoothies, soups, stir frys & more.

BROTH

The body thrives on the vitamins and minerals extracted from cooking bones over a long period of time. I make a big batch once a week, or if I run out I buy it from the store. Some brands also do some great powdered broth.

CALMING ENERGY

The more kindness we show to others the better it will be for all of us. I’ve been doing my 20 min meditations every day which have been life changing & allowed me to stay calm and grounded. be for all of us. SLEEP + REST

When the body is in a resting state under minimal stress it has a greater chance to heal and function optimally. Listen to its signs. Don't force a workout that you know your body doesn't want.

MINDFUL MOVEMENT

Move your body but do it mindfully. Exercise should GIVE you energy, not deplete you of it. I've been doing loads of walking, especially with Simba outside in the park. I'm also enjoying more yoga at the moment.

SUPPLEMENTS

I've been adding olive leaf, Vitamin C, B & magnesium to my daily routine. We are also having 1-2 glasses of Kissed Earth Balance greens for a boost of alkalising greens (tastes amazing).
